Medical Transcriptionist

Therapath is an innovative clinical laboratory that specializes in performing and developing testing services that serve the technically advanced medical community with a focus on neurological services. The company is in a fast paced, service oriented segment of the laboratory service marketplace.

The current available position for medical transcriptionist will work directly with the physician and clinical staff. The successful candidate will have experience in medical transcription, editing and proofreading. Familiarity with medical terminology is a requirement.

The candidate for this position will produce medical reports, correspondence, records, patient-care information, statistics, medical research, and administrative material.; Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology, and also translate
medical jargon and abbreviations into their expanded forms to ensure the accuracy of patient and health care facility records, as well as perform various other clerical tasks within the facility.

This position is currently a part time position and the work hours are flexible and negotiable for the qualified candidate. The position will likely become full time in a short period time and will then include full medical, dental and 401k plan.
